I have been studying venture creation since I was in college. It intrigued me how someone can take an idea andchange lives. It's part of why I started KnowCap, where the mission it to help people with ideas turn them into fast-growing businesses.

In late 2016 I started a weekly habit. I would spend 2-3 hours browsing Product Hunt, looking for new ventures that I thought would really take off. I would write down why I loved them and where I thought they existed in the startup universe (along with how far I thought they would go).

Many failed, but a few hit...and as you can see above they hit big.

Over the years I have kept a private Google Doc folder - every time I found a new company I would add it to the list and track it over time. Now, I want to do it publicly. Call it an accountability measure.

While I stopped my weekly ritual during a trip abroad - I feel like its time to get back to discovering new, game-changing products. Some will be from the original Product Hunt page, and some will be ones that I find out in the wild (i.e. SummerSalt & Compt.)

I'll write brief memos of why these companies are worth taking a look at from both the consumer and investors perspective. Hopefully, we can not only drive sales, but also VC dollars towards these amazing ideas.
